He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Tuning and Liddie Tuning; his son Edward; and his brothers, Merle, Charles and Lester.
He is survived by: his former wife Delilah Ann Evans; his children, David, William, Janeine and Bruce; his wife Edith Burton; and his half-brother Harold James Tuning of Ark. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and grandchildren.
