He is survived by: his son Sheridan Smith (Pamela) of Gary; his grandchildren, Daniel, Sydney and Matthew Smith; his son Peter Smith (Bonny) of Caldwell; his grandsons, Simon, Caleb, Levi and Deacon Smith; and his brother-in-law William Blanton (Adrienne).
