He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hopkins and Betty Hopkins; and his sister Penny Poppinga. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Hopkins; his sons, Michael Hopkins (Jennifer) and Jeffrey Hopkins (Bethany); his brothers, Bobby Hopkins (Marcia) and Jim Hopkins (Liz); his brother-in-law Dave Poppinga; and his grandchildren, Shanyn Smith (Marshall), Justyn Hopkins (Lucero), Logan Hopkins and Kayla Gzik. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
