He is survived by: his significant other Jasmine Faith Curiel; his son Zachary Roman Mata III; his siblings, Ciara Ilene Vaca, Ellie Ilya Mata, Evelyn Jay Vargas, Sean Christopher Mata, Tyrell Mata and Julion Carter Mata; his niece Kamila Ivanna Zagal; his mother Carolina Vaca; his stepfather Gabriel Vargas Ramos; his father Zachary Mata Sr.; his grandparents, Cristobal, Alma Vaca, Carina Ochoa Mata and Ramon Ochoa; and his aunts and uncles, Jazmin, Christina, Yolanda, Bianca, Tyson and Anthony.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home (1350 E 16th St, Burley, ID 83318). A rosary was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Therese the Little Flower Catholic Church (1601 Oakley Ave, Burley, ID 83318).
