He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Gilbert and Johanna Szybrowsky Gilbert; his wife Ina; his son Matthew Gilbert; his son-in-law David Tew; his grandchildren, Jimmy Golightly, Jessica Seders and Holly Homer; and his siblings, Norman, George, Golden, Margaret, Melvin, Elaine, Dean, Donna and Grace.
He is survived by: his children, Janie Homer (Don), Margie Neff (Rick), Vickie Seders (Randy), Wesley Kay Gilbert (Linda), Susan Gilbert, Pauline Vaughan (Owen), Lisa Bankhead (Jerry), Maryann Golightly (Ben), Barbara Tew, Peter Gilbert (Audra) and Beverly Gilbert; and his sisters, Jean Allen, Eunice McDaniel, Nancy Lee Call (Harold) and Darlene Hirschi (Richard). He is also survived by 45 Grandchildren, 91 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
