He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Joseph and Doris Rigby Preston; his in-laws, Marion and Harvey Dimond; and his sister-in-law Judy Wilson Dimond.
He is survived by: his wife Renae Dimond Preston; his children, Joseph Preston (Sarah), Samuel Preston (Taylor), Thomas Preston (Meghan), John Preston (Hanna) and Cheri Preston; and his siblings, Stephen Preston (Sharon), Stanley Preston (Cheryl), Renee Schwendiman (Henry) and Josephine Palmer (Vernon). He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Burley West Stake Center (2420 Parke Ave, Burley, ID 83318).
Later, he faced Parkinson's disease and dementia with courage, positivity, and determination.
