He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Povlsen and Kate Etherington; his stepfather Glenn Funk; his parents-in-law, Bill and Mary Henscheid; his brother Harold (Tonia Povlsen); and his siblings-in-law, Sister Dorothy Henscheid, Angie King, Leo Henscheid, Mary Lou, Ed Borrowman, Kathleen Marie Henscheid (Barbara), Kathy Maxson (Gary) and Dodie Henscheid.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Henscheid; his sons, David (Melissa) and Brian; his grandson Tristan Bode of Germany; and his sister Linda Thomas (Neal). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
