Leona Maxine Helms Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 20, 2023, Leona Maxine Helms (Burley, Idaho), born in Maxwell, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Myers and Charlie Myers; her husband Austin; her children, Gloria Dixon, Leona Rasmussen, Forrest, Ted and Robert; and her children-in-law, Donna Helms and Tom Reed.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Helms (Dorothy) of Emmett, Mary Reed, Ray Helms (Helen) of Burley, Vanda Johnson (Harold) of Filer, Nancy Couch (Jerry) of Woods Cross and Linda Blunt (John) of Brighton, Colorado.; and also, Forrest, Gloria and Wayne. She is also survived by 230 grandchildren, including great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
Mom was a seamstress making clothes for her children, wedding dresses, masks for nursing homes during Covid, school bags for children at the Gebra Memorial Primary School in Tanzania and many hot pads for friends and all her grandchildren.
