He is survived by: his siblings, Alvin Smart and Joy Duggan; his sons, Allen Batman, Darrel Schmitt, Raoul Schmitt and Harlan Schmitt; and his grandchildren, Tommy Batman, Joel Schmitt, Rachel Schmitt Wood, Ashley Schmitt Rodden, Melanie Schmitt DeMartini, Mathew Schmitt, Christopher Smalley, Julie Smalley, William Machacek and Eric Machacek. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
