He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lloyd Sawers and Mabel Sawers; his siblings, Robert "Bob", Bonnie and Barbara; his nieces, Roberta "Robbie", Bonnie and Carie; his close friend Tommy Thompson; his son Ryan (Sha); his wife Susan "Sue" Payne; his children, Justin Payne (Cheri) and Cassie Kearn (Kent); his grandchildren, Zaydn Sawers, Chazarae Shoup, Justine, JaCee Payne, Derek Eaton, Wyatt and Jordyn Kearn; and his great grandchild Jaxyn Brunett.
