He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Wiersma and Beatrice Wiersma (Smit); his wife Gladys Plaiser; his brother Pete (Ellen); his sister-in-law Ellen Wiersma; his siblings, Ray Wiersma and Wilma; his brother-in-law Art Whittington; and his children-in-law, Sandy Wiersma and Randy Schindel.
He is survived by: his children, Christian, Jim Wiersma of Valdosta, GA, Beverly Donahue (Mike) of Meridian, ID, Mary Schindel of Meridian, ID and Annette Cress (Carmon) of Buhl, ID; and his sister Betty Scheenstra (Ed) of Ontario, CA.. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren.
