He is survived by: his sister Colleen Brooks; his children, Terry Thompson (Donnie), Jamie Stewart (Lori), Jeff Stewart (Stefanie) and Che'rie Stewart; his grandson Butch Shields; and his cousin Jim. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
