She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Sr. Kucera and Maxine Kucera; and her niece Christine Lott. She is survived by: her husband Terry; her daughter Karen Howe (Kelly); her grandson Winter Wilson; her son Andy Howe (Kira); her granddaughter Lena Sue Howe; her brother Leonard Kucera Jr. (Lucille); her nieces, Angela Baker (Donnie) and Wendy Kucera; her sisters, Nancy Hill, Coeur and Alene; her nephews, Erik Olson (Cassie) and Matt Hill (Geni); her sister-in-law Tracy Iverson (Tom); her nieces, Tessa Wickham (Eric), Coeur and Alene; her nephew Ty Iverson Bonners Ferry (Lisa); and her cousin Judy Alverson.
She served on a Citizen's Budget Cutting Committee for Boundary County School District, captained a large area for the American Cancer Society, started an MS support group, and operated a safe house for victims of domestic violence (ADV).
