He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Shaffer and Marion Shaffer; and his son Allen Shaffer. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Shaffer; his daughters, Jessica (Caleb Gardner), Alexis (Jason Perkins) and Sara (David Redding); his grandchildren, Anthony Fortner, Melanie Perkins, Zachary Gardner, Ethan Gardner, Alyssa Gardner, Sam Redding, Katrina Perkins, Tayler Redding, Zoe Redding and Christopher Lee; and his brothers, Russell (Patti Shaffer), Darryl (Pam Shaffer) and Gordon (Mary Shaffer).
