It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Chase Owens D. (Boise, Idaho), born in Rochester, Minnesota, who passed away on September 8, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Owens and Adeline Owens; and his brother-in-law Duane Freer. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Renae Dougal of Boise; his sister Marjorie Freer; his children, Diana Rhinehart (Art) and Mark Owens (Boise); and his former wife Sally Owens Kyle (Boise). He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
Bill received honors from Angel Flight West as distinguished pilot of the Idaho Wing (2007), the Distinguished Pilot Award in recognition of his valuable contribution to the Angel Flight West Mission of the Idaho Wing (2009), Pilot of the Year for the Idaho Wing (2010, 2011), and for his leadership of the Idaho Wing (2011).
