He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Byron and Blanche Byron; his sister-in-law Peggy Heeb; his son Kevin Climer; and his grandson Parker Pletcher.
He is survived by: his brother Robert; his wife Cheryl; his daughter Christy Pletcher; his grandchildren, Kyle Climer (Madison), MaKaylee Howard (Matt), Shaniah Zenor (Jantzen), Tycie Climer, Amy Gajda (Jeff), Tyler Pletcher and Rachel Pletcher; his great grandchildren, Gracie, Buck Howard, Kaschton Climer, Hadlyn Howard, Oaklee Goodwin, Frannie Gajda and Ariyon Parker Pletcher; and his nephews, Tom Byron (Jeannie), Mike Byron (Karen) and Steve Byron (Laura).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to his favorite charity, the Wounded Warrior Fund.
