It is with great sadness that we announce the death of MaryLou Lucille Gurr of Boise, Idaho, born in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 16, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though MaryLou has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her sister Lavon Louise Meador; her parents, William Bryan and Minnie Margarite Modrell Meador; and her husband Kenneth William Gurr. She is survived by: her children, Diana Lynne Bowman (Bruce), Michael LeRoy (Jan) and Kenneth William, Jr.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 30 great great grandchildren.
She donated countless numbers to the veterans hospital and women's and children's shelters.
