He was predeceased by: his wife Paula Louise Partridge; his daughters, Marilyn and Millicent; his grandson Jonathan Miles Hoopes; his brother Frederick Hoopes; his parents, Dr. Lavell Hoopes and Olive Nash Hoopes; and his grandfathers, John Nash and Bert Hoopes.
He is survived by: his siblings, Marilyn Ladner, Richard Hoopes (Tamara) and Doug Hoopes; and his children, Scott Hoopes (Deborah), Tamara Doughty (Russell), Melinda Belnap (Phillip), Janece Hoopes (Julie Deveraux) and Jonathan Bert Hoopes (Rachel Miles). He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
