He was predeceased by: his parents, Mirriam Virginia Whitehead and Clifford Patten; and his siblings, Mimi (Mirriam) and Cliff (Clifford). He is survived by: his children, Erica Patten Woodside, Elke Patten, Jessica Patten Quiljas, Nicole Clow and David Daniel Patten. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
