He is survived by: his wife Kathy Smith; his children, Arden Dee Smith III (Aubrey) and Erin Smith Maguire (Chris); his granddaughters, Ellen and Eva Maguire; his sister Robin Saxton (Von); and his pets, Bleeker and Maggie. He is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews, and many life-long friends.
