He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Maurice Cathey and Zula Wilson Cathey; his wife Myrna Cathey; his son Stephen Ray Cathey; his sister Anna; his siblings-in-law, Glenn Parker and Memory Mattson; his granddaughter Rishelle Jade Jones; and his great grandchild Caden Ratcliff.
He is survived by: his children, Sheryle Callister (Rex), Blaine Cathey (Annette), Brent Cathey (Sandra), Kenneth Cathey (Heidi) and Kristene Ferrin (Earl); his sister Jeanette Rutau; and his siblings-in-law, Marilynn Carroll (Marc), Miriam Rowbury and Jack Mattson. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
