He is survived by: his parents, Daniel Sr. Huerta and Tomasa Valenzuela Huerta; his wife Janeal Denise Huerta; his children, Isaac of Blackfoot, Joseph Steven of Blackfoot, Dominic of Blackfoot, Gabriel of Blackfoot and Ava Hope Huerta of Blackfoot; his sibling Selly (Dennise Huerta); and his grandmothers, Trinidad Huerta and Gorgonia Valenzuela. He is also survived by several cousins, aunts, and uncles.
