He was predeceased by: his parents, Barber Dewane Dye Sr. and Ila Mae Johnson Dye; his wife Amy Jeanice Dye; his son Randy Lynn Dye; his son-in-law Dwayne Bell; his siblings, Lois Bolander, Brent Dye and Ila Jeanette; and his stepbrother Dale Nebeker.

He is survived by: his children, Eugene Dewane Dye (Connie) of Roy, UT, Dennis Durrant Dye (Peggy) of Rexburg, ID, Sheryl Jeanene Bell of Moreland, ID and Julia Nylene Wareing (Randy) of Rose, ID; his daughter-in-law Amy Lizzy Dye of Firth, ID; and his siblings, William Andrew Dye, Barbara Joan Taylor and Kerry Eugene Dye. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hawker Funeral Home (132 S Shilling Ave, Blackfoot, ID 83221). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
