He was predeceased by: his brother Alton; his parents, Wesley and Bertha; his grandson Nathan; and his brother Robert.

He is survived by: his sons, Dale and Neil (Debra); his grandsons, Nick (Janelle), Phil (Bobbie Jo) and Mike (Cassie); his great grandchildren, Andrew, Rachel and Eric; and his cousins, Alice Hammond Eaton and Nancy Moulton Moore.
