He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Harris Gilbert and Erma Viola Simons Gilbert; his siblings-in-law, Dwain and Bernice Kinghorn; his grandparents, James, Jenny Gilbert, Joseph and Bertha Simons; his sister-in-law Barbara Gilbert; and his great grandchild Lincoln Nuttall.
He is survived by: his children, James (Margie Gilbert), Michelle, Nichole (Jason Erskine), Stephanie (Adam Frugoli) and Kendra (Chris Cannon); his wife Carla Jean Kinghorn; his child Michele (Brian Hatch); and his siblings, Dean (Marilyenn Gilbert), Nedra Bowles of Logan and Edna Turnbow. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
