He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carl "Dutch" Whitmore and Mary McLane Whitmore; and his sister Kay Whitmore Bishoff (Bill). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Beck Whitmore; his children, Chance Whitmore (Amy), Erik Whitmore, Megan Whitmore (Kevin Mulvey) and Tiffany Whitmore Siebert (Sundance Siebert); and his sister Carla Wong (Kai). He is also survived by five granddaughters.
