He is survived by: his former spouse Francis Geer; his sons, Clarke and Jamie Schatz (Stephanie); his close friend Laverne Putnam; his sons, John Schatz and Clark Schatz (Julia); and his grandchildren, Hannah, Grant, Willa and Whitney Schatz.
