He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Russell Mayer (Sharon) of Pocatello, ID, Kenneth Mayer (Tricia) of Mesa, AZ, Shelli Welch (Brody) of Grace, ID and Barbara Gertsch (Jacob) of Pocatello, ID; and his brothers, Robert Mayer (Anita) of Nampa, ID and Donald "Jim" Mayer of Sandy, UT.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren.
