He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Lawler and Marcella Lawler (Kress); his parents-in-law, Loras and Catherine Collins; his siblings-in-law, Pat Lawler, Joanie Lawler, Dave Geertsema and Neal Carpenter; and his nephew Kevin Lawler.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Collins of Zwingle; his children, Corey Lawler (Judy) of Key West, Julie Merfeld (Brett) of Zwingle and Katie Snakenberg (Shane) of Bettendorf, Iowa; his grandchildren, Carly, Ella, Chloe, Jenna and Gavin; and his siblings, Charles Takes (Gail) of Dubuque, Bill Lawler (Diane) of Peosta, Mary Jo Carpenter of Ft. Collins, CO, Jim Lawler of Independence, Jan Geertsema of Peosta, David Lawler (Kathy) of East Dubuque, Donnie Lawler (Helene) of Manchester, NJ and Dennis Lawler (Janice) of Durango. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
