We are sad to announce that on April 5, 2021, Gerald Steil (Zwingle, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clem Steil and Mathilda Steil (Behnke); his siblings, Evie Beecher (Albert), Eleanor Lombardi (Don), Lenny Steil and Norm Steil (Minnie); and his siblings-in-law, Virgil Murphy, Don Derouin, Gayelle Blum (Roy) and Margaret Ernster.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria (Ernster); his sons, Terry (Sue) of Key West, IA, Kevin (Karen) of LaMotte, IA, Dion of Benton, Wis and Keenan (Darren); his grandchildren, Aaron Steil (Aaron), Becky Crispin (Pedro) of Jesus, Sara Goedken (Rob), Andrew Steil (Abbie), Derek (Angel), Ryan (Emma Steil), Audra Steil (Jeremie) and Carissa Oberbroeckling; his siblings, Alvina Murphy, Jim Steil (Jean), Vern Steil (Elaine) and Mary Ann Derouin; and his siblings-in-law, Jude Steil, Deryl "Buddy" Ernster and Harry, Jr.. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
The family requests that social distancing be followed, and masks be worn during the services.
In lieu of flowers, a Gerald Steil Memorial Fund has been established.
