It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lyman K Rule (Zearing, Iowa), who passed away on January 25, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Ellen "Louise" Rule (Bohnsack); his wife Lois Ann Rule (Maxwell); his father George Kenner Rule; his siblings, Mary Helen Risdal (Rule), Virginia Meimann (Rule), John Loren Rule and Richard Rule; and his grandchildren, Michael James Rule and Joy Elizabeth Reams.
He is survived by: his sister Rachel Ann Rhodes (Rule); his sister-in-law Mary Elizabeth "MaryBeth" Rule; and his children, James Rule (Karen) of Huxley, Julie Caster (Robert) of Polk City, Janella Reams (Mike) of Adel, Jennifer Pilkington, Jeffrey Rule (Nick Dong) of Oakland, Jodie Jens (Darren) of Bothell and Jeanette Shannon (Edward) of Des Moines. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A public visitation will be held from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, masks are required and social distancing practices will be in place.
