He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Watters and Helen Watters (Davis); his wife Lorna McCalmant; his sisters, Dolores Edwards, Tommye DeMoss and Nancy Rickels Miller Halter; his brother-in-law Dick McCalmant; his nephew Will Watters; and his granddaughter Jessica Larrimore.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Watters, Cindy Henak and Pam Cooper; his grandchildren, Gabe Watters, Tim Watters, Jenni Watters, Shawn Christiansen, Amanda Hurlbut and Ciera Cooper; his sisters, Janice Gerdes (Garrett) and Linda Cox (Ron); and his close friend Pat McCalmant.
