He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Besler and Armella Besler (Recker); his daughter Laura Steffen; his siblings, Jerome Besler (Monica), Donald Besler, Lila Mae Sperfslage (Joe), Norma Jean Rave (John) and Bob Besler; and his siblings-in-law, Bernadette Feltes, Laura Mae Schaub (Rudy), Donald Feltes (Marianne) and Jean Greenwood (Jeff).
He is survived by: his wife Janice Feltes; his children, Susan Aubrecht (Brian) of Cedar Rapids, Carol Burkle (Lavern) of New Vienna and James Besler (Kati) of Monticello; his grandchildren, Nick Steffen, Olivia, Deacon and Meghan Besler; and his siblings-in-law, Alice Besler of Worthington and Bill Feltes (Marlene) of Manchester.
