It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard S. Sanford (Woodbine, Iowa), who passed away on March 29, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Richard S. Sanford to show support.

He was predeceased by: his wife Julia Ann Zwak; and his siblings, Clayton Sanford, Milford Sanford, Ione Moon and Leone Brown.

He is survived by: his daughters, Chris McDonald (Gary) of Lakeview, Debra Shaffer of Bellwood, Treva Block (Fanny) of Dunlap and Lisa Bussard of Nashville, Tennessee. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
