She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos Hillyer and Evelyn Hillyer (Dungan); her husband Bill Pitt; her children, Rusty Pitt and Nancy Green; her grandson Mark Zimmerman; and her sister Florence Marley.

She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Pitt (Barb) of Waverly, Terry Pitt (Fran) of Sedro Woolley, Rick Pitt (Karen) of Indianola, Scott Pitt of Cedar Rapids, Amy (Jeff Ebsen) of Mesa and Max Pitt (Cindy) of Lamoni, Iowa; and her sister Norma (Kenneth Archer) of Honey Creek, Iowa. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
