He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Short and Dorothy Short; and his brother Thomas Short. He is survived by: his wife Arduth Kelley of Patrick's Catholic Church; his children, Rodney Short (Joanna) of Bettendorf, IA, Randy Short (Amy) of Lebanon, IL and Christine Berryhill (Todd) of Ames, IA; his grandchildren, Abbie Coniglio (Angelo), Adam, Alex, Aric Berryhill, Kelly, Katie, Calvin and Ryan Short; and his siblings, Donald Short (Janet) of Winthrop, IA, Beverly Smith (Dennis) of Mesquite, NV and Ann Speckman (Haven) of Farmington, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
