He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert T. Baxley and Marilyn J. Baxley (McCellan); his son Christopher Bruns; his parents-in-law, Richard and Darlene Higgins; his brothers, Donald and Robert Baxley; his sister-in-law Carol Baxley; and his great-nephew Cyrus Kelley.
He is survived by: his wife Lori Baxley (Higgins) of Winthrop, IA; his children, Elizabeth Nair (Biju) of San Jose, CA, Rita St (Peter), Cynthia Bruns (Dartavious Banks) of Waterloo, IA, Katie Bruns of Winthrop, IA, Bryanna Baxley of Phoenix, AZ, Jack Chadwell of New Braunfels and Stephanie Brandenburger (Ryan) of Phoenix, AZ; and his sister Billie Jene Wallace (Steven) of Sellersburg, IN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
