She was predeceased by: her parents, William Frederick and Lucinda "Lucy" Schweitzer (Sickles); her husband Richard Martin Gilson; her daughters, Cathie Gilson and Debra Reese; her daughter-in-law Myral Gilson; and her siblings, John (Rita), Dale (Lucy), Bill (Marian), Glen (Marian), Bob Schweitzer (Collette) and Betty Baker (John).
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Glen; her sons, Larry Gilson (Carol) of Aurora and Marty Gilson (Nancy) of Mesa, Arizona; her son-in-law Charles Reese of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her grandchildren, Eric Gilson (Carol) of Boone, Brad Gilson (Cindy) of Evansville, Greg Gilson of Winthrop and Kelsey Reese of Charlotte; her great grandchildren, Gabriel Gilson, Nicole Laug (Adam), Michele Jacobson (Riley), Travis Gilson, Shelby Gilson and Colin Gilson; her great great grandchildren, Harrison, Vance, Macy Laug, Nolan and Maddox Jacobson; her stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Lappin (Lonny) of Johnston, Bill Freese (Brooke) of Ankeny and Matthew Parsons of Lakewood, Colorado; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Clara, Audrey, Otto Freese, Greta and Ava Lappin. She is also survived by Many Nieces & Nephews.
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing will be required. Those in attendance are encouraged to wear a mask at the funeral home.
