It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Jean Cook of Winthrop, Iowa, born in Sigourney, Iowa, who passed away on May 15, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jared Tudor and Cleo Tudor (Quinn); her former husband Wallace Carter, Jr.; her husband Ray Kenneth Cook; her daughter Linda Carter; her stepgrandson Stephen Cook; her nephew Jim Dusil; her niece Joyce McAtee; and her brothers-in-law, Joe Dusil and Edmund Cook.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Lynn, Nancy Sharon of Lexington, Kentucky and Tom Carter (Nicole) of Newton; her stepsons, Kenneth Cook (Linda) of Winthrop, Donald Cook (Karen) of Ryan, Harold Cook of Independence and Alan Cook (Janet) of Winthrop; and her sisters-in-law, Bernice Dusil of Troy Mills and Leah Cook of Independence. She is also survived by 7 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, social distancing and masks are suggested at the visitation and service.
She had suffered from Alzheimer's and died of complications of Covid-19.
