It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Baker of Winthrop, Iowa, who passed away on May 27, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William F. Schweitzer and Lucinda Schweitzer (Sickles) of Winthrop, IA.; and her husband John Baker. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Eaves of Tomball, TX, Ruth Swearingen of Cedar Rapids, IA, Barbara Janss of Des Moines, Donna Dick of Independence, IA, Roger Baker (Robin) of Cedar Grove, WI and Lucinda Eschen (Gregg) of Dundee, IA; her siblings, Dorothy Gilson of Winthrop, IA, Dale, Glen, Bill, John and Bobby Schweitzer; and her parents-in-law, Frank, Margie Baker, Belle Cantelle, Lula, Bill Ewing, Milton Eaves and Dennis Swearingen. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren; her 9 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren.
