With solemn reverence, we commemorate Steve Palmer of Winterset, Iowa, whose life came to an end on April 2, 2025 at the age of 76, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Lee and Wanda Marie Palmer (Neal); his son Jonathan Donald Palmer; his grandparents, Loman, Ethel Palmer, Frank and Hazel Neal; his parents-in-law, Malick and Leta Foley; his sister Connie Davis; and his brothers-in-law, Dan Raasch and Charles VanEtten.
He is survived by: his wife Pam; his son Nick Palmer (Christina); his granddaughter Mavis Ann Palmer of Winterset; his brother Ron Palmer (Leann) of Cumming; and his siblings-in-law, Mary L. Raasch of Omaha, NE, Betty Van Etten of Omaha, NE, Donna Sorensen (Soren) of Omaha, NE and Mike Foley (Jean) of Ankeny. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Calendar St. Joseph Catholic Church (1026 N 8th Ave, Winterset, IA 50273). A rosary was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Winterset Cemetery (502 S 4th St, Winterset, IA 50273).
Memorials may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church Compassion Fund, American SIDS Institute, or to the family for a later designation.
