He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Hay and Elva Hay; and his siblings, Kenneth, Donald, Howard, Derald, Duane and Athene Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hay of Winterset; and his children, Mike Hay (Jan) of Pinnacle, NC, Marla Reed (Steve) of Winterset and Dena Jordan (Randy) of Winterset.
Memorials may be directed to the family for a bench placed in his honor and/or the Madison County Memorial Hospital.
