With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Edward Lynch (Winterset, Iowa), who passed away on May 15, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lynch and Susie Lynch (Joan); his brothers, Francis Lynch and Donald Lynch; his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Lynch and Marilyn Lynch; his great grandchild Edith Ellen; and his daughter-in-law Jennifer Lynch.

He is survived by: his friend John A. Connor; his children, John Lynch (Patrick) of Signal Hill, CA, Jim Lynch (Colleen) of Prole, Dan Lynch (Sheila) of Van Meter, Mary Lynch of Cumming, Janette Purdy (Gary) of Van Meter, Pat Lynch (Laura) of Cumming, Sue Chenoweth (Greg) of Indianola, Sheila Stivers (Dave) and Pete Lynch (Chris); and his grandchildren, Wyeth, Mary Kenna, Marshall, Jason, Erin, Laura, Alesia, Ryan, Joshua, Jeremy, Brian, Daniel, Joann, David, Mindy, Eric, Carli, Ben, Emily and Luke. He is also survived by 25 great grandchildren and one on the way; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Irish Settlement Church Altar and Rosary Society.
