He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hanson Balsley, Sr. and Harriett Frances Balsley (Kelly); and his children, Michael Christopher Balsley and Charmel Marie Hill. He is survived by: his wife Diane Balsley; his son James Balsley III (Cynthia); and his stepchildren, Regina Lackey (Steve), Rachel Salinas (Eusebio), Sarah Clarke (Mike) and Joel Plante, Jr. (Anna).
