He is survived by: his wife Char Shives; his children, Phyllis Griffiths, Greg Shives (Tara) and Nancy Kugley; his grandchildren, Josh Griffiths, Cody Griffiths, Channing Shives and Aidan Kugley; his great grandchild Elora Griffiths; and his sisters, Donna Darnold and Nedra Nanneman.
