He was predeceased by: his parents, Olin Soper and Myra Soper (Schultz); his brother Delbert LeRoy Soper; his wife Coleen Ann Hodson; and his sisters, Evelyn and Karen.
He is survived by: his sister Lila May Roe (Joel Mac); his son Stacy Soper (Karla); his grandchildren, Chas Funaro (Chelsy), Joe Funaro (Sadie) and Chelsea Hoffman (Lucas); his great grandchildren, Alice, Charlie, John, Adyson, Camden, Ruby, Emery and Drake; and his close friend Teressa Casson. He is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Calendar St. Paul Lutheran Church (1120 N 8th Ave, Winterset, IA 50273). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
