He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlin Edwin and Caroline Tibben (Riccio); his son David Scott Tibben; his parents-in-law, Ernest and Mina Speer; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Koehler, Bruce Mills and LaDonna Speer.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Tibben; his children, Chuck Tibben (Kim) of St. Charles and Julie Taylor (Richard) of Earlham; his grandsons, Jacob Taylor of Covina, CA and Garret Taylor of Ames, IA; his siblings, Kathleen L'Estrange (John), Yolonda Mills and Merlin Edwin Tibben, Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Wayne Speer and Joyce Koehler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
