She was predeceased by: her parents, Louie Poppinga and Marie Poppinga (Hoefing). She is survived by: her daughters, Greta Short (Randy) of Council Bluffs, Deanne Steffens (Greg) of Casa Grande and Jennifer Mattes (Andy) of Des Moines; her granddaughters, Hannah Bolte (Ben) of Papillion, Sierra Beauchamp (Hank) of Mead and Madison Short of Miami, Florida; her great grandchildren, Hallie, Brayden Bolte and Adaline Beauchamp; and her siblings, Lavonne Bangasser (Paul) of Sioux Falls, Elaine Poppinga of Charles City and Rodney Poppinga (Linda) of Fort Dodge. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Winterset.
