It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darrell Smith (Winterset, Iowa), born in Creston, Iowa, who passed away on February 20, 2020, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ken Smith and Donna Smith (Pitkin) of Creston; his grandparents, Wayne and Marie Pitkin; his uncles, Dennis Pitkin and Bob Smith; his aunt Diana Meinke; his sister-in-law Brenda Smith; and his cousin Ryan Meinke.
He is survived by: his daughter Ashton Marie Smith (Zach Scadden); his wife Becci Berry; his son Lane Smith of Winterset; his brother Randy Smith (Alissa Schmitz) of Greenfield; and his nieces, Carla Smith (Kara Beaver) of Knoxville and Raegan Smith (Pat Kilmer) of Des Moines. He is also survived by other aunts, uncles and cousins.
