He is survived by: his spouse Debbie Watts; his son Jim Hochstetler; his wife Jamie McDonald of Winterset; his mother Dixie McDonald of Winterset; his children, Nicole Floyd (Jake) of Winterset, Tyson McDonald (Mariah) of Winterset, Breanna Bruett (Zach) of Winterset and Jake Reeves of Winterset; his grandchildren, Garrett Floyd, Sadie Songer, Kaylee Songer, Allison Bruett and Henry Bruett; and his siblings, Bob McDonald (Marcia) of Texas, Jay McDonald (Frenchie) of Minnesota, Shelly Gambrall (Brian) of Colorado and Sheryl Hayes (Brad) of Winterset. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
